NY Style Delicatessen served Metro West from 1977 - 2010
Tradition (noun): the passing down of a culture from generation to generation.
The deli business has been a Sanderson family tradition as far back as 1922 when Sanderson's Creamery opened on Blue Hill Avenue. This tradition was proudly continued in 1977 when Joan and Ed opened their own deli in Shoppers World; and again in 1994 when they built their new restaurant in Sherwood Plaza.
The location has changed, but the tradition remains the same... a family restaurant with all the old-time deli favorites. At Joan and Ed's, family and friends can meet and enjoy the same type of old fashion non-gourmet comfort cooking that has been savored for generations.
So, let us temp you with our super omelettes, our deli deckers, our homestyle dinners, or if you are daring...one of our 60 homemade desserts! You will take the pride in our tradition with every bite.

After 33 years of having the pleasure of serving the families of Metro West, Joan & Ed’s Deli has closed its doors on Sunday, June 20th.
The economic conditions have made it impossible to go on, and Joan & Ed began an early retirement.
Thank you to our wonderful management, staff and customers who have been loyal for so many years.
